Scent 11 opens with a luminous and ethereal clarity, evoking cultural refinement, intelligence, and timeless beauty. A graceful, powdery heart unfolds into creamy warmth, revealing a rich and sophisticated delight.
It opens with warm, spicy notes that create an inviting, energetic introduction. At its heart, a deep resinous warmth unfolds, shaped by incense-like richness and soft leathery undertones that evoke ancient rituals and meditative stillness.
Scent 09 reveals a serene and luxurious softness, enveloping the wearer in a creamy, calming warmth. A delicate floral sweetness adds an airy elegance, lending the composition a refined, almost ethereal charm.
VOYAGE DANS LE TEMPS
As the sense of smell is closely connected, through the limbic system, to one's own memories and emotions, it is subjective and therefore individual. We can never really know the exact scent that another experiences or how if differs from our own. This series is dedicated to the perception of scent.

LISTENING TO SCENT
In the Japanese incense ceremony called Kodo ‘the way of scent’, the term ‘smell’ is not used, instead one ’listens’ to a scent.

As 棲 [sei], meaning “nest,” it envelops the senses in a warm, woody smokiness at its core, forming a comforting sanctuary. Deep, woody, and leathery facets evoke a quiet nostalgia, reminiscent of the lingering trail left by a fading bonfire.
As 青 [Sei] suggests, this scent offers a sense of greenness. Freshly cut from glass, its airy essence unfolds with an invigorating playfulness, gradually deepening into a subtly smoky, more profound dimension.
As 性 [sei], meaning “origin” or “one’s nature,” suggests, this scent reflects innocence and innate identity. It opens sweet, fresh, floral, and bright, before evolving into green, clean nuances that emerge from the core, reinforcing a connection to one’s origin and an authentic sense of self.
As 世 [sei], meaning “world” and “life,” it carries a sense of eternity. Creamy, woody facets unfold with a spiciness, forming a warm, textured blend that feels alive—like life itself in constant, subtle motion.
