Urushi Kintsugi & Maki-e Workshop

We are inviting a Kintsugi teacher Etsuko Enomoto from Japan, who is also a ceramic artist.

In this workshop, on top of Urushi Kintsugi, we are also learning the Maki-e technique using Urushi.

Important notice regarding Urushi

​Although Urushi is 100% natural and safe to use for tablewares when it is dried, undried Urushi contains toxic substance and may cause rashes or irritations on the skin depending on the physical condition, the level of immune system, hormonal balance and so on.

As we will work with undried urushi, we pay a full attention during the workshop;  however, please note that we do not take any responsibility or liability if a problem occurs, and all participants must agree it when sign up.
