Earth—our foundation, our body, our mother—guided us in shaping the minimally touched vessel, free from unnecessary cuts or additions. The Jar is made from a single piece of soil, left in its raw, primitive form.
Fire—our evolution—hardened the shaped earth at 1100 degrees, transforming it into vessel. Hand-poured then using 100% pure botanical essential oils and natural soy wax. Every step of the process unfolds entirely in our Berlin studio.
The circle completes and continues with your participation as you light the candle, and enjoy the soothing aromatherapy benefits of its scent. Once the candle has burned down, return the vessel to our studio for refills, ensuring its longevity.

Earth To Fire : Scented Candle in Handmade Ceramic Jar by atelier RYOKO
It burns slowly and cleanly at a low temperature. When lit, the candle gently releases therapeutic essential oils. These concentrated essences are often referred to as the higher consciousness or ‘souls’ of plants and have profound effects on our well-being.
It is important to us, to create products that do not, in any way, harm our physiology and therefore no petroleum/paraffin or synthetic fragrances are used in the production of our candles.
We hope you enjoy the passage of time and reuse the jar by simply washing it out with hot water, or bring it back to our Berlin store for a refill service (at 50% off).
