When working with plants for a scent, I meditate and give attention in order to listen to their voices. Listening is for me an act of respect by stopping and slowing down our pace, which is, I think so needed in this modern society.

Our Story
マッサージ・アロマセラピストのバックグラウンドを持ち、調香師としても活動するRyoko Horiと、写真家兼映像作家の経歴を持つDaniel Kulaによる二人が、2015年にドイツ・ベルリンにオープンしたRYOKO senses salon。人間の感覚、特に嗅覚の面白さに焦点を当て、香りの日常生活における心身への影響を考慮し、全成分天然由来にこだわって調合したさまざまな香りアイテムをプロデュースしています。
また、香と人類の歴史、そこに生まれる文化を研究し、地球の記憶を辿るコンセプトのもと、音楽家や料理家など分野を超えたコラボレーションや香りのインスタレーションも行なっています。 移民とクリエイティブたちが共存するベルリンのノイケルン地区にある実店舗、RYOKO senses salonでは、オリジナル商品に加え、独自の目線でセレクトした品々も展開しています。
